Dog Training & Behaviour Prince Edward County

Personalized Dog Training & Behaviour in Prince Edward County
DogsUnlimited provides personalized, in-home dog training and behaviour services throughout Prince Edward County, including Picton, Wellington, Bloomfield, Consecon, Carrying Place and surrounding County communities.

We come to you.

Training takes place where life with your dog actually happens — at home, around your property, through your neighbourhood, and in the real-world environments you share together.
Prince Edward County offers dogs an unusual mix of environments. Quiet residential streets can quickly give way to rural roads, farms, trails, waterfront areas and busy seasonal communities. For dogs struggling with distractions, leash behaviour, reactivity, recall or social situations, those everyday surroundings can become an important part of the training process.

Training Designed Around Your Dog
No two dogs, owners or households are exactly alike. DogsUnlimited doesn't rely on a one-size-fits-all group program or a prescribed series of exercises.
Whether you're starting with a new puppy, welcoming a rescue dog, improving everyday obedience and listening skills, or dealing with more challenging behaviour, training is developed around your individual dog, your goals and your lifestyle.

Common areas we help with include:

Puppy training and early development
Everyday obedience and listening skills
Leash pulling and walking
Recall and off-leash reliability
Reactivity toward dogs or people
Barking and overexcitement
Fear and confidence issues
Aggression and other challenging behaviour
Rescue and newly adopted dogs
Household manners, Boundary work and dog fence problems!

Real-World Training for County Dogs
Living in Prince Edward County can present training situations that aren't always replicated in a traditional training facility.

A dog may need to remain responsive on a rural property, walk calmly through downtown Picton or Wellington, settle around visitors at home, encounter other dogs on local trails, or remain manageable when normally quiet areas become considerably busier during the summer season.
That's why DogsUnlimited focuses on practical training that transfers into everyday life. The objective isn't simply to have your dog perform exercises during a lesson. It's to help you understand your dog, communicate effectively and develop skills you can continue using long after the appointment is over.

Experience That Stays With You
DogsUnlimited has been helping dog owners since 1994. The approach is personal, practical and based on the understanding that successful training involves both ends of the leash.
For clients participating in our Lifestyle Process, support doesn't simply disappear when the scheduled appointments are finished. The program includes up to five appointments along with lifetime support, giving you an ongoing resource as your dog matures and circumstances change.
Single-session consultations are also available for owners looking for help with a particular issue or who prefer a pay-as-you-go approach.
